My Review of the Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner 1867-7
We all have seen in tv regarding the benefits of using a steam mop. Well, I am in need of a steam mop as I am tired of using disinfecting wipes and typical mop with bucket. Before I actually buy, I did an extensive research about the best steam mop in the market as well as the upcoming latest steam mop. I found out many of the steam mop are actually not as good as what they show on tv.
After several hours of research, comparing several steam mop model and brand; I have finally found 2 worthy steam mop (another one was bissell steam mop). I have a hard time deciding what to buy but I bought this bissell steam mop in the end because I like its retro-ish design. Anyway, here’s my review on the Bissell Steam Mop Hard-Floor Cleaner 1867-7.

What So Special About Bissell
I was surprised that it is so easy to assemble with I bought the steam mop. It has several features that I love about Bissell Steam Mop.
I fall in love with the STEAM on DEMAND feature. That means when you need the steam, all you need to do is squeeze the easy-squeeze button. This is the only steam mop in the market that provide this feature. The rest of the steam mop in the market provide continuous steam which proven to be a hassle if you are cleaning a big house because you will find yourself refilling the water again and again.
It also only take 30 seconds for the water to steam. It is one of the fastest steam producing mop in the market. I know a friend of mine who waited 3 minutes just to get the steam ready for cleaning. That is a long time compared to Bissell steam mop.
What does it use to clean the floor?
The steam mop uses hot steam to moisturise the dirt which would than cleaned up by the microfiber mop pads. As the steam heats up the floor, it sanitize the floor as well. All you need is tap water, no buckets, no cleaning liquid and no squeezing.
What type of floors I can clean with Bissell
The Bissell Steam Mop can work on hard-flooring such as ceramic, marble, stone, vinyl, linoleum, tiles and sealed hard wood floors
How does it works?

Do I have to use chemicals?
No. This cleaner is chemical free. I love this feature that you can get from steam mop. I hate buying bottles after bottles of cleaning liquid, buckets and wooden mop with no warranty. If you have kids who love to play on the floor or any household member with sensitive skin, this is the best for you. At the same time, you are contributing to the environment by not using any chemical which is harmful the the environment.
How about hard-to-reach areas?
Hard-to-reach areas such as under cabinets, behind the toilet bowl and tables are accessible by the steam mop because of its 360- degree swivel mop head.
Is it heavy?
The cleaner is about 7 pounds ( about 3 kg) so it is light. It has a slim design body and a well placed handle for you to carry around the house which I found it to be very useful.
It is quiet…
Basically the machine works like an iron thus it does not make noise. It cleans quietly unlike vacuum cleaner which are annoying when you have someone trying to concentrate on doing something.

Any complaints?
The Bissell does not really have a lot of complaints as I was scanning though the internet. I found a few though. One user said that the cord was too short but this can actually be remedied with an extension cord. If you have middle size home, you do not need any extension cord.
